How To

How to make a perfect Omelette

Omelets are my favorite breakfast dish. But how do you make them perfectly? I have tried many different recipes and methods, but none of them work. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you in order to make delicious and fluffy omelets every day.

It is important to know that eggs can be temperamental when making omelets. You must get them fresh, organically, and keep them cold until you cook. You must keep them cool enough to allow the whites to form properly and the yolks to become too runny if they're not kept at the right temperature. Your omelets will look strangely colored if this happens. It is best to use room-temperature eggs if you are going to cook them right away.

Another tip is to separate the egg before adding it to the pan. The yolk and white should not be mixed together as this can cause the omelet's curdle.

The bottom part of an egg that is added directly to the stovetop might be burned, which could cause a ruined texture in your omelet. Instead, microwave the egg for 10 seconds before adding it to the pan. The microwave heat cooks the eggs just right without overcooking them.

Next, let us talk about how to mix the eggs. When mixing eggs, it is important to thoroughly beat them. You need to turn the bowl of the mixer upside down. Then, vigorously shake the bowl. This way, the air inside the bowl gets whipped around and mixes the egg thoroughly.

The fun part begins - you need to pour the milk into your mixture. The first step is to pour half of the milk in the beaten eggs. Next, fold the eggs into the remaining milk. Do not worry if you see streaks of egg; they will disappear when the omelet is flipped.

After you have folded your eggs, heat up the oil on medium heat. Wait for it to get hot. Once the oil starts getting hot, add 1/4 cup of butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the entire surface of the pan. Carefully open the pan's lid and add salt to the pan. An additional pinch of salt will prevent the omelet form sticking to your pan.

Cover the pan once you have formed the omelet. Wait for the top to set. Flip the omelet with a spatula, or flip it upside down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe works best with whole milk, but skimmed milk also works.
