How to make an omelet that is perfect

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. How can you make them perfectly? I've tried many recipes and different methods but none have worked. So today, I want to share some tips and tricks with you so you can make your own delicious and fluffy omelets every morning.

When making omelets, it is important to be aware that eggs can be temperamental. They must be fresh, preferably from the organic market, and be kept cold until cooking. If they are not kept cold enough, the whites won’t form properly. The yolks will also break down too quickly and become runny. This can make your omelets look bizarrely colored. If you want to make omelets right away, it's best not to use eggs that are too cold.

You might also try separating the egg before adding to the pan. You don't want any white to get mixed up with the yolk because this could cause the omelet to curdle.

If you add the egg directly onto the stovetop, you might end up burning the bottom part of the egg, which would ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, place the egg in the microwave for 10 second before you put it in the skillet. The heat from the microwave cooks the egg just enough without overcooking it.

Let's now talk about mixing eggs. You want to mix the eggs thoroughly before you add them. To do this, take the bowl from the mixer and flip it upside-down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. By doing this, the egg is thoroughly mixed with the air in the bowl.

The fun part begins - you need to pour the milk into your mixture. Mix half of the milk with the eggs. Then fold the eggs in half into the remaining milk. Do not be alarmed if there are still egg streaks visible. Once the omelet flips, these streaks will disappear.

After you have folded the eggs, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil has started to sizzle, turn the heat down to low. Once the oil starts getting hot, add 1/4 cup of butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the entire surface of the pan. Carefully open the pan's lid and add salt to the pan. A pinch of salt will prevent your omelet from sticking in the pan.

Cover the pan once the omelet is formed and allow it to cool completely. Flip the omelet by using a spatula. Cook the other side for about a minute. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe works best with whole milk, but skimmed milk also works.
